DESCRIPTION:This free\, fun event kicks off with the Youbou parade\, which starts at 10:45 am from the Youbou Hall and travels to Arbutus Park. (All are welcome to enter the parade. Marshal at Youbou Hall at 10:00 a.m.). The day is filled with fun activities including the Clarence Whittingham Memorial Quarter Mile Swim\, bocce ball\, swimming races for all ages\, chalk art contest\, land games for kids\, music in the park\, watermelon eating relay\, lifeguard relay and more. A BBQ concession is available from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.

The theme for the parade is\n” Jingle All the Way” So decorate with all the holiday cheer possible\, music\, bells\, whistles\, lights and glitter. The parade will start promptly at 5:00 pm on Sunday November 29th\,  and will move through the main street in town\, going across the car bridge  heading to the Country Grocer Parking lot area. The brighter the lighting on each entry\, the better! Parade entry deadline is Monday  November 23rd\, 26. Click the link above and download the parade entry form or to request an  entry form\, email the Chamber office   info@cowichanlake.ca\n\n\n\n\n\nImportant Information\n\nParade Date : Sunday\, November 29th\, 2026\nJingle All the Way is the Theme this year\nParade marshaling starts at 4:00pm on Point Ideal Road. Parade starts promptly at 5:00pm\nAll paraders are to proceed down South Shore Rd through town\, go over the car bridge\,\nthen roundabout onto Cowichan Lake Rd. All foot paraders will then turn into Country\nGrocer\, while all motorized paraders will continue past Country Grocer then turn left onto\nMacDonald – paraders can now park and walk to Country Grocer\, or disperse.
